Frédéric Desprez appointed Head of Brokerage and Managing Director of Paris Hub for Allianz Africa

Allianz Africa appointed Frédéric Desprez as Head of Brokerage and Managing Director of Paris Hub for Allianz Africa, effective July 1, 2020.

Frédéric Desprez has held the position of Managing Director of Allianz Cameroon Life and Non-Life since 2017. Prior to joining Allianz, he managed the activities of the Gras Savoye Willis Group as Managing Director in three countries in Africa, namely Cameroon, Senegal and Ivory Coast.

"In his new role, Frédéric will continue to strengthen our business relationships with international and Pan-African brokers in order to contribute significantly to the achievement of Allianz Africa's strategic ambitions," said Coenraad Vrolijk, Regional CEO of Allianz Africa.

Frédéric holds a Master degree from the ‘’Ecole Centrale Paris’’ and a Postgraduate degree in International Law.

He began his career in the Aviation industry as Deputy Head of Commercial Networks at Eurocopter (now Airbus Helicopters SAS) before joining the insurance brokerage sector where he held the position of Aviation Director at Marsh France.

Frédéric will be based in Paris. He will report to Delphine Traoré, COO of Allianz Africa. Married and father of two children, he has been skydiving for over 20 years and he is a licensed private airplane pilot.
