The meeting focused on the Partnership’s strategic direction in the context of the current COVID-19 crisis and on major action areas on the way to COP26.

The HLCG members were asked to discuss and endorse the Partnership’s contribution to Pandemic risks, ratify the Gender Declaration and the Policy Note on the integration of risk finance into national adaptation and resilience efforts as well as to approve an update and specifications of the governance charter.

Delphine Traoré stated: « With COVID-19, 50 million additional people fell below the poverety line, half of them come from subsaharian countries…Priorities have shifted from preparedness and capacity building to crisis management… ».
